While I think would be a terrible president, it isn't unusual for presidential candidates to run multiple times before winning. I wouldn't rule him out. Looks to me there isn't a lot to choose from.

You may just want to get behind Trump.

I never was a fan. He seemed a bit of a dim bulb wrt my expectations for presidential material. But, relative to what we have now, that now seems a very minor shortcoming. What he has going for him is a folksy quality that might appeal broadly.
