I edited the post, as usual

hmmm can you make sure of that
because you need both SPX and SP8H to hit together so that actual point you bought might be higher

Also, you are using a system for indices NOT FUTURES..you cant always
switch over I would think..you would need to realign your system points...well maybe..

it just seems it is a whole different ball game and might need different analysis.

We have heard Patrick say how OEX sucks and people are leaving it...but I wanted to show you all how bad it REALLY sucks..
OEX SUCKS and this is a case in point of how you can be RIGHT but make no money on a big move...

now you just have to hope it keeps moving up....

maybe you should look at how SPX works...or what I mean is look back and see how the SPX would have fared under same conditions...same amount in the money ( maybe you need to do a split adjusted look as well)etc....

or maybe if you used the OEX in your formula it would make a difference. But whatever the case....trading the OEX based on your SPX system can SUCK with the kind of movement you get today...maybe it will run up another 9 points and you can make 1 point...ROFL..no if it was another 9 point I think you would make more than that

but here is one cavaet to this...if it had shot straight up...without the 90 point loss yesterday...I think the reaction to the OEX would be different...maybe not...maybe for a 9 point move you would have only got 1/2 point but I think this drop had to have something to do with it...so next time check to see what happens when it is more or less a straight shot up

FOLKS THIS IS WHY IT IS HARD TO BE THE BOYS!!!!

Lisa and Kevin,

***SPX CALLS***

I hate to intrude, but reading your posts about pricing, I looked up the price analysis on the SPX and here it is:

46+FEB950 31 33 1/2 - 2 1/2
47+FEB960 25 28 1/8 - 3 1/8
48 FEB965 No Prc 26 3/4 N/A
49 FEB970 No Prc 23 3/4 N/A
50+FEB970 18 1/2 23 3/4 - 5 1/4
51+FEB980 14 1/4 20 1/2 - 6 1/4
52+FEB990 10 3/8 16 1/4 - 5 7/8
53+MAR1100 1/2 4 3/8 - 3 7/8

I included these to make a point.. All these positions are the ones that everyone that trades indexes are likely to trade, no????

Well as I have been telling you both, the money is flowing here by the gallons, everyone that has a bloomberg or Trade Station etc buys these.. And they will always be undervalued UNTIL the point is passed sufficiently.. So, TT will not make money on his positions until that 40 point move or so, and it is easy to see why..

SO, why not move out to the suburbs and enjoy the benefits:

38 FEB875 97 88 3/8 + 8 5/8
39 FEB895 78 71 7/8 + 6 1/8
40+FEB900 74 1/4 66 5/8 + 7 5/8
41+FEB910 63 60 1/8 + 2 7/8
42+FEB920 53 52 5/8 + 3/8
43+FEB925 52 49 1/8 + 2 7/8
44+FEB930 47 44 7/8 + 2 1/8

I am saying if you want to position trade, trade below the going point, or WAIT until the point is passed, thats all.. But if you arew buying and holding, the negative premies is great, as long as you wait it out..

Sorry if this is boring to you, I just feel for you not making money and wanted to plug my 2 cents..

Is anyone playing the movie theatres on take over plays??

I saw Titanic, Wag the Dog, Good Will Hunting, Jackie Brown and As Good As it Gets.. all are GREAT! Not often that a string of shows comes up that is this good. The film festival is in town, I doubt I will go though..

See ya,

E
