I was talking to a few friends who worked (still work) over at SEG, but their jobs will be terminatted by the end of the months. All of them are scheduled to receive a very good (GOOOOOOOD)severance package!!!! And with the high employment in the Bay Area, they should have no problem what so ever to get new jobs. So this lay off was a blessing for most of them. With the money they will get, they can pay off, or pay down their hosue payments!! It is going to work out as a big lump sum BONUS check. That is great!!! I hope that your wife will not have any problems securing a new job. Regards, Fiberman P.S. Even Samsung HDD is hiring a lot of people here in SJ. I think a lot of SEG talent is going to end up over there, as well as Maxtor and Fujitsu.
