Ist Boston reiterated their 'Hold' on VVUS today. They expected a several point sell-off after the CC.
This firm has been a marvelous source of contra-indication for VVUS ever since they started following it! Time to BUY!

I'm loving this. I think that for the fist time since October, all things considered, there are more potential upside surprises than downside. Maybe Wall Street doesn't like surprises, but short sellers absolutely hate them.

I think the realization that there will be a product overhang, with the potential for sudden revenues whenever MCA approves, would be enough for me to close a short position, on a stock with a P/E of 10.

The Phoenix is about to arise from the ashes!!

(i hope)

PS CS First Boston rated VVUS a Buy at 38 and a Hold at 24. These are the same guys who lost about 40 million in the Peregrine bank failure. Not having a good year so far.

David, rumor has it ( in my parts ) , that one of the traders that has the upgraded form of Instinet, where they can see the names of the bidders, says that there is an unusually larger amount of bids from institutions.

However back to the rabitt , Vivus thread gg, patch. I ask, is this time to pull out William O'Neil's ( of IBD fame ) old recommendation: " buy when a stock breaks out ?". Well I did. Bought more at 12.
I will be buying more in next few days as I observe stock. These low
priced shares will then hopefully allow me, when vivus gets back up to 20s to indulge in my favorite sport: trading, gg. If I screw up
( heaven forbid ) my trades, something that rarely occurs, ( juuust
kidding ), these low priced shares will hopefully allow me to bail out
and still declare victory! Neat.

Dreamin...,tradin up to 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s...and? possibly continue to add to base position? at those numbers? I'll decide that later.( when we get FDA US approval, for those of you who MUST know every date.

-- Unfortunately, the analyst I talk to is at one of the top firms. And until & unless the new plant receives either Euro or FDA approval, they won't upgrade VVUS.

-- My feeling is that the stock won't go any lower without approval. And with approval, will soar. As that's what the analysts want. In the next several weeks, who knows? Seeing how Vivus is producing "at-risk" already, I think we just have to wait it out.

Out.
