Soc. Sec. and Medicare are NOT entitlements. You are correct, they are not entitlements, they are the ultimate Ponzi scheme. Your payments paid your parents benefits. How confident are you that the next generation will be willing and able to pay yours. Over 35 years ago I concluded that I should not count on SS and have managed my finances accordingly. I am a bit surprised that it has held up as long as it has, but the end is near. I hope you all are prepared.
