We've had the solar and wind technology for years. We just have to deploy them. Now we have industrial grade storage to deploy. We have electric rail, trucks, and cars to deploy. We have efficiency, which reduces demand.

Aside from a few places like California and Hawaii, what we lack is willpower.

And that is nuclear.

Right now they are making some breakthroughs into Nuclear Fusion. That's the only salvation, but probably decades away yet unless some aliens help out.

It's pretty sloppy right now because the original attempts were attempting to fuse the brains of two liberals and
the mush left over was unstable, highly volatile and not to be trusted or allowed in your neighborhood.
