Cost? How much have we spent so far on sun and wind? Double that, and you'll know how much more we'll have to spend.

Land? We have plenty of roofs and parking lots which can be covered.

Taking all of that into account means that the total cost of 1,184 km2 of solar panels is about half a trillion dollars.

The sun only shines half the time so storage is also required. That will likely double this to a trillion.
