All threads stray, but SI gears more toward topics and Facebook feels more like a journal and it's no surprise Facebook is data-mined more than any other site because of it's structure. Conversely at SI if I feel like talking about pets or vehicles, I'll usually go to the most germane thread for what I'm thinking about. I also like how SI bundles replies to a post together. There's also a lot of potential for organization here. One example is all my Computer Learning polls respond to the poll before it, which effectively chains them together. Also I was able to use html, which is a huge feature, to build the header menu for this thread. Everyone is going to have preferences, but I do like the format and structure here at SI very much.
