The first load of Word97 takes less than 3 seconds with my M2-166Mhz. The reload of Word97 would take less than half seconds since the full Word97 pops up before the mouse clip sound is gone.

The reason that I brought the question on how fast could you load up Word97 is that PII-266 or 300 could not help users run their daily applications faster. Even your overclocked PII-300 is 0.1 seconds faster or slower than my M2-166, no human vision could catch the difference. In short, you did spend your money wisely. M2 with more RAM and faster HD would serve you better. PII-266 if not clocked on 75Mhz bus speed is a poor choice.
