Redhead,

I use two portfolios, one in Yahoo which updates news as it happens. This one has the quotes twenty minutes delayed but the news is usually faster than the dow tape or bloomberg. The other is PC Quote realtime which also has backweb push. I use this for things I'm expecting news on.

Don't know which broker you use, but I like e.schwab because it offers everything that you are looking for....news, realtime quotes, 5 portfolios to set up and you can update with realtime quotes at the push of a button...etc. A little more expensive than the DEEP discount brokers, but at 29.95 I'm not complaining with their services.
