I Agree Bob.

I was Nokia for dumb phones then my first 3G smart phone was an HTC. I remember working with my youngest brother 10 years ago to clear out our parents house to sell and he was anxiously waiting to get this new iPhone 1 from Apple... When he finally got it, I was not impressed because my 1 yr old HTC took better pictures and videos to document the house and I believe his phone would only record video in one aspect ratio which was not as useful as HD format that you get from holding the phone sideways. I believe it took Apple almost 10 years to figure out how to offer both and they had the gall to offer it as a new feature!

After the HTC, we got two Samsung Galaxy S5s and were very happy.

I upgraded to S8 in late 2017 when the S5's battery swelled and broke the case making it not so reliable... It would often would reset on its own but still works. My S8 is full 4K HD on an OLED screen. Not sure how much you have to pay Apple for this, I think $1200... if they have it! I paid $550 at Costco last year!

Then this year Emily got tired of running out of room for aps on her S5 so I got her an S9 for Christmas (Black Friday/Cyber Monday time frame) at Costco where I think they will give their profits back to me via a $250 cash card in the next month or two. It is pretty much the same as the S8 but with an even better camera and faster processor.

Consumer Reports doesn't mention screen quality... but rates the most expensive Apple phone ($1100) only 1 pt higher than the S9.... and I'll pay about 50% less once I get the cash card.

Of course I'm talking my book as I own GOOGL and added during the decline after taking profits on the rips and buying the dips to have my cost basis at $48 with my last buy after being on house money for the last three trades... declines are compelling me thinks.
