Food waste: My wife works at Food Basics.

She told the amount of food people returned after Christmas because "they didn't need all of it" was in the hundreds of dollars on one of her shifts recently.

Food Basics has no choice but to throw all of it in the trash for health safety reasons.

People are idiots. A lot of people.
