Stockdoctor says quarter comes in at .55, with near term hit of $37. I had to stick my neck out. I think the forward looking guidance will be in line with previous estimates (i.e. $2.08), however, as I noted in previous posts the little guys like BRKS will continue to warn of slowdown as a result of ASIAN crisis and will not warrant the sector to trade at greater than average multiples..... Long term AMAT is no brainer..

The Stockdoctor!

Brian,

Two things that are most attractive with AMAT at this point are valuation and the potential for higher returns... the same things that attract the institutions. Robertson Stephens, for example, have no less than 3% of their aggressive funds' holdings in AMAT which is consistent with their past exposure. However, some others are holding back and haven't fully gotten back in the picture... at some point they will be back. Sooner, once they smell $$$,.. this coming earnings and upbeat CC IMO will be the catalyst.

It will be interesting...

Regards,
SF
