Afaq: The critical part of any patent is the claims allowed.Check this closely to see exactly which areas are covered. My experience is that the patent atty is notified by the patent office in writing detailing which claims are patentable and which are not.The applicant may then petition the examiner to reconsider his decision,or accept the patent as written. The company should happily supply approved patent #s since these are of public record. These #s will of course not be available for pending patents.
