If Willis Eschenbach hadn't made any mistake, glaring blunders I would have been most surprised.

I would have been jealous frankly.

Have you noticed an number of bloggers have started publishing on the first draft warts and all? It exposed them to counter punches of course. However the contrary argument is there is just not enough time to cross all the T's and dot all the I's. Best just get the message out there "as is", and rely on the human trait of forgiveness, compassion and understanding to help you past the mistakes. It's not always there but I heard it exists.

Willis said as much to his victories and defeats in the world of science. Is the planet any poorer for his input? I think it in encouraging that the normal person is willing to contribute in important science debate and willing to learn from the experience.

I never followed him before, but he seemed OK in that speech Thomas Watson linked.

Anyone can be on the wrong side of the debate on this. At the end of the day ones own dignity and sincerity of purpose is the quantity being measured.

Now regarding that point your previous diagram... been looking at it...

It's OK but see here...

Where is says "organized denial". That to me is weak... name calling and showing you have a religion rather then a scientific view. Please ask the author to change that to "robust critical review". If the theory is correct, it proves itself in the face of all critics. That is how and why science wins.
