Of course your right Janice. I was just curious how far the anti-second hand smokers are willing to go.

I'm also wondering about the home. Should the state remove children from homes where the parents smoke indoors?

I have a funny feeling we will need a whole bunch more foster parent volunteer's!

Michael

Well-in a way, haven't we attempted to protect children in cars? We require carseats for infants and toddlers, we have outlawed riding in a flatbed truck, we make people pass driving tests and be licensed...I'm not saying these are bad things in and of themselves, but certainly the government continues to increase its control over our lives and our choices. Most of us here would use a carseat voluntarily and would know better than to put a bunch of kids in the back of a pick-up, but what about all the people who endanger their children's lives with their actions? When do we decide the benefits outweigh the intrusion? That a child needs help because of his parents' ignorance or irresponsibility?? I'm not sure!
