I'm sure there is no use in trying to go to the Gucci site since this item has more than likely been pulled from inventory, but I am curious. Was this item sold in any other colors? White, beige, red, blue, etc.? I would think it would be conducive to good business practice to offer a product in multiple colors to lure in more buyers since one color may not (and will not) appeal to everyone. Of course, as an aside, I can't imagine this product appealing to ANYONE to begin with, but I digress...
