Worswick, I found Yiwu's comments all the more disturbing by his apparent intelligence. I truly believe there are many here in Asia like him, who have jaundiced opinions of the U.S. based on the incredible level of propaganda spewed forth here on a relatively constant basis. I am constantly surprised at the notions I encounter in everyday conversations about life in the U.S. But we don't help matters much. For example, we don't have a propaganda machine of our own, maybe we should. Or at least hire a good press agent. And if you think about it, our own movies, which get wisespread distribution over here (mostly pirated I might add) seem to have a fixation on the sinister government agency conspiracy cliche. Yiwu's comment, which was most unfortunate, is just the tip of the iceberg. Best, Stitch
