Has Briana read all the Hess Maggody series, which I thought were funnier and better than the bookstore owner ones? How about Sharyn McCrumb, who writes beautiful Appalachian mysteries? She Walks These Hills and If Ever I Return, Pretty Peggy-O are two I remember enjoying.

Christine, Has anyone here ever discussed the health benifits of green tea? I have been hearing it is good for the heart and possible to reduce risks of cancer. How much do you have to drink, and what kind. Are all brand of green tea the same?

P.S. If I don't get back to you till late tonight, it is because I am busy at work. We are not lucky like you guys/gals in the States...you guys get so many holidays!!!

<<I didn't understand about the peach and black glass all mixed up in the border, unless it is a bar of black glass, with a peach-colored one instead of black in the middle. Is that what you are talking about?>>

Yes. This particular shop, which had the piece I tried to describe, was very interesting. They were even selling homemade paper. It was thick and very textured with what looked like bits of dried flowers and such pressed into the paper. Then there were these slender poles, trees only an inch and a half in diameter, which were carved like totem poles with only one recognizable shape at the top. The rest of each pole was painted in various mod colors with carved rings, or dots, or whatever. Didn't appeal to me at all, but someone must think they're worth something, $1000+. But the best part, to me, were the shadow boxes, I think that is what they're called, but doesn't sound quite right. I've always loved those types of boxes which are compartmentalized with different items reflecting the theme of the piece. I've been seeing a lot of fishing related objects lately, too. Lures in particular.

I'll see what I can dig up on Michael Parks.
