Beware of those who "double every year" during an up market in the hot sectors. Kevin Landis was "that guy" in the 1990s and he convinced National Radio Show Host to recommend his "B2B Internet Fund" at the very, very top of the bubble.... I have articles about it somewhere if you want to search my Brinker Blog... bobbrinkerfanclub.blogspot.com At the moment, the name of the fund escapes me... but it was a laugher to hear Brinker bash internet stocks all through the 90s then at the very top he recommended one in his newsletter... Heck, if I had not taken so many profits in semi stocks that I was "the guy for" in the 1990s... I'd be doing something different... probably working for someone.... now.
