Joe,

66Mhz PCI on MXi will attract lots of Novell server users. For NW servers, bus speed is even more important than memory speeds.

Think about sub-$500 high end servers powered by MXi. Every home with two or more PCs could use one.

Jozef, with 98% of the world relying on 10MHz network connections, "gigabit" is a tad ahead of its time. Let Intel produce a "reference design" for multi-CPU servers and let others follow.

For every gigabit server there will be 100 workstations in need of MX and/or GXm chips. Better to be a small frog in a huge pond that to get your genitals chomped while fighting to be king.
