Jane, no reply necessary but to me, a very important point that Paul makes(he wrote 2/3 of the New Testament) is that he said when you follow MY GOSPEL you are following God. He was talking about the mystery of Grace given to him by God beginning when God tapped him on the shoulder on the road to Damascus. As you follow him through his epistles, you see that God is revealing more to him as he goes along. He finally rejects water baptism, since it is replaced by the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and circumcision, since both Gentile and born again Jew is circumcised in the heart. The signs that the Jews required passes away and finally, saved by Grace and living by Grace is the order of the day.
Have a good day,
James
