Sun Tzu is correct, but the length of the OT discussion is itself a violation and I'm having private talks with all concerned and banning most, temporarily -- which runs from 2-3 days to 2 weeks for 1st offenders -- much longer for 2nd offenders and/or on a scale of 1-10 go right to 11 with their 1st or 2nd offenses.

For the record, this is the "rule" in question, though I rarely enforce it unless/until it gets out of hand, preferring to issue warnings instead... here's the rule that can get you banned temporarily if broken:

"This is not a joke discussion board. It is a "bulletin board" where people can "pin" their jokes (post them) and others can read the bulletin board. If you feel the need to discuss the jokes/posts, please do it via PM."

And also for the record, most of the time the past 13-14 months, a warning has been sufficient to achieve the desired result: a board free of flaming and/or clogged with "discussions" esp. with respect to the rules and how and when they are enforced.

I urge all to read the above "Introduction" to the board that lays out the rules, etc.
