Update on Kirch.............................................. multichannel.com Brussels, Belgium -- The European Commission last week postponed until Jan. 23 its formal decision on whether it will more deeply investigate the proposed merger between the German pay TV operations DF1 and Premiere. News reports in Europe last week suggested that the EC will announce that it will take its investigation to the next level.
