True. One can be personally opposed without advocating prohibition. I tend to assume the latter when people make a political issue of it so I assumed that of mel. You can usually tell by the tone and content of comments when people are speaking of their own personal moral determinations.

I should have been clearer in framing my question.

People, of course, get to apply their own moral calls to their own lives.How people make those personal calls is their own business.Pursuing an agenda to deny that agency to others and substitute one's own judgment that the moral standing of an embryo trumps all other considerations, however, would seem to require at a minimum a persuasive, rational basis that can be readily explained and understood. If there is one, I'd sure like to find out what it is.
