Either the VLTs are up or they are not. Everyone agrees that based on the company's history and under normal conditions, Noram should/would have released some kind of update by now. If the VLT are installed, running and already earning income then that fact is, in my opinion, the most significant occurence in the history of the company. It would most assuredly deserve a news release. If we view the other perspective and the VLTs are not installed and there is some sort of a delay, due to a design, component or other problem; then the company would be expected to provide some kind of word. They don't seem to hide bad news. Historically (and my history only goes back to October), news of some sort concerning the reason for a delay would have leaked out (MBA?) or would have been addressed informally by someone (witness the George Z comment on the chip problem on the webpage). The company simply does not appear to have a history of hiding information. Hell, the second set of VLTs should have arrived in country by now and still no word. I remember reading before Christmas on BobZ (I think it was a reporting of a conversation between Rob at LBI and EZ) that the second 100 VLTs were ready to go. This was before Christmas!! The "zip your lips" advice given George on his last trip (in country according to MBA) does not seem to make sense unless there is something going on that supercedes any probable benefit from the release of any news. Keeping quiet about the company seems contrary to good business sense unless something significant is going on. Is it possible that the company is in buyout negotiations, someone buying Noram (witness the Mirage rumor that was more or less confirmed by MBA, actually two companies wee confirmed by him)? Is there a requirement for a "quiet period" during such negotiation or at some stage in the approval process? I seem to remember something about a quiet period on press releases pending merger/buyout approval. I could be wrong on this but I think I remember reading about it. Would someone else like to comment. Is it possible that some large scale financing or fund raising negotiation is taking place. It seems as though the urgency to confirm the initial setup of the VLTs in Venezuela has lost its urgency. Its almost as if it doesn't matter whether Noram reports on the VLT's being up or not. What possible activity could have taken place to make the news on the VLTs unimportant. Comments????
