Financial Advisors Firm to help FIBR Increase Shareholder Value

Santa Monica, CA, November 3, 1997 -- Osicom Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:FIBR),
today announced the engagement of Volpe Brown Whelan & Company, LLC, as
strategic financial advisors to the Company. Volpe Brown Whelan, a San
Francisco-based investment banking firm, will advise Osicom in the ongoing
discussions regarding the sale of one or more of its business units which the
Company announced on October 30, as well as other potential transactions.
Company officials again emphasized that the current discussions are in the
very early stages and may not lead to a successful conclusion.

Share Buyback Program
