ECM EARNINGS WATCH I put together the following table based upon sources listed below. CAUTION! These info sources are not always correct! CAUTION! You may find the "instantaneous PE" to be misleading! REPORT DATES: pathfinder.com * Report Dates provided by the company have an asterisk. Reports are generally released after market close on given date. & Reports to be released before market close have an ampersand. # SCI said "sometime in the last 10 days of January"; another time I called they said that they don't ever set a release date, but its always after the close. (Some SI folks say the SCI report date is 1/27/98.) % HADCO said they have no specific date yet: mid-late Feb. @ DSSI said its to be the end of March (no specific date). ! NTAIF had a press release 1/20/98 and will have a preliminary Q4 report (with approximate sales and EPS) out by 1/27/98. QRTR END - Last month in the fiscal quarter. REPT DATE - Date when quarterly financials will be released. ACT. EPS - Actual EPS for the fiscal quarter as reported. EPS EST. - Zacks' Estimated EPS or percent surprise. M - Management competence rating. PRICE - Recent price of stock (e.g., 10+31 means $10+31/32). PE - Instantaneous PE = Round[PRICE/(4 x EPS)] where EPS is Act. or Est. COMP INFO - Contact information. + Can anyone add a marker in the last column to indicate the type of ECM company? Thus, you might use a [1] to indicate a PCB maker, or a [2] to indicate a box assembler, etc. Some companies may fall into more than one category and footnotes may be needed to clarify certain categorizations. Hey, I'd take a stab at this myself but I don't even know what categories to choose! + Also, feel free to extend/update/correct this table. In particular, release dates not marked by an asterisk need to be confirmed/corrected by calling the company.
