Intel has been saying for a while now they were getting into networking, this is just the beginning and will be interesting to see it play out. I sold all my csco about a year ago based on a article about intels intentions in networking. Fortunatly my nephew talked me out of that move, saying there is plenty to go around. Not being a techhead I have no input about this initial move and whether these products directly compete with ciscos, even if they don't future ones will. Intel knows there is to much money to be made. FWIW Bill Gates has said he has no plans to get into networking, and considers csco as a strategic partner. For the record I'm long INTC MSFT CSCO for years, and the only way I would sell csco is with a gun to my head. There will be lots press about this the next few weeks, lets keep all informed, thanks to all.
