Tone of the cc: Ashby is sophisticated and he comes off very well. Great CFO. Ejabat was technically precise, and generally let Ashby answer the financial questions (though less so towards the end of the cc). Overall, it came off smooth and sophisticated. The analysts were not mean-spirited and occasionally seemed to praise the turnaround.

I vaguely recall Ashby said something about 25/share in Q1. Didn't he say the same thing in Scottsdale! Sector, everyone owes you for getting us clued-in on that conference.

Also, in reference to the prior post, it seems UUNET has actually come down, to just over 10% total revenues. That is a positive.

perhaps the MOST SIGNIFICANT WORDS heard in the CC: "Thanks, and congratulations for getting back on track." - these words were not from Ascend's mgmt. (IMHO) Not to downplay anything else which was superb, but in Street terms this says it all! ;-)
