I'm not much of a political animal, but I don't think the Green New Deal will be the democratic platform.. The GOP is fighting any changes to improve the security of our voting system, so expect Trump and Putin to do whatever they want to fix the next round. No one appears to care, so they'll go for the home run. We'll be a banana republic from then on.....I'm disgusted with Congress, Republicans particularly.

To beat Trump, the Dems need a platform that's realistic and a genuine alternative to the Trump philosophy. But what is the Dem platform? Spend 880 Trillion dollars for a new Green Deal and tax Wall Street investors and traders. Sounds pretty sick to me. Who in their right mind wants to pay for that? don't underestimate the gullibility of an electorate that voted in trump 2 years ago. -vbg- But, that said, I agree with what you said earlier. If the market stays up, no way some extremist D gets in.

Hey RB .. please know that I enjoy these conversations with an intelligent, rational, civil non-conservative like you. I am very conservative, so I know we disagree on some stuff .. but rarely do I get an opportunity to discuss such disagreements with liberals because they just yell and name-call. Thanks in advance! You say that Trump is racist and dislikes minorities. I don't ever see this . . he has given minorities the most jobs ever . . businessman Trump himself employs so many minorities. Where do you see him disliking minorities or being a racist ?? Don't use the border or the Mexican judge . . these battles are for other reasons besides race/minority. Where do you see him exhibiting racist or anti-minority characteristics ?? With Obama it was easier to see his racism in his public speeches, but I don't see it in Trump. please help me to understand the outrage of so many against Trump .. thanks !!
