After listening to the interview with Dr. Lacey Hunt on the effect of the massive debt overhang on world economies these days, I was curious what the implications for gold might be. I spent some time going through his various speeches and comments but didn't discover anything direct. At first glance, if our debt balances have created a permanent deflationary or at least minimal inflation status, gold would seem to be more and more irrelevant. Of course the full story is more complex. I noticed recently how little "flight to safety" type buying took place during the blowup in the China trade negotiations...here but China as well which surprised me.

Just comments...wondering what the future will bring.

GOLD. I'm sure there are many things going on behind the curtains we are not aware.

However this is what I focused on years ago to determine GOLD had peaked at the 1921 ish and was going to roll over to a lever I considered safe.

And it is what I also used to anticipate GOLD had bottomed at that 1045 and would turn back up.

Which it did and it's RSI which is in the 329 area as of today is NOT suggesting any serious weakness given the back and forth of it's trend charts.

So while GOLD the asset could dip a bit more as I look at it's trend PNF chart.

I don't see it breaching the previous low of 1045. I doubt it would get under the 1134 if that were to happen.

That would STILL NOT turn this chart to O's.

So if ever there was a buy the dip WITH DISCIPLINE then IMO that applies with the hard asset or any etf. BUT with ETF'S one does need more experience then the buy and hold. IMO

Thanks for that info you put up.

Enjoy
