And my wife and I have DGI PFs that have outperformed the major indices by a wide margin... it is possible, and easier than experts would have us believe. If you don't time the market and have a solid DGI base, I think one should be able to beat the SP500 by 5%-10% in cap gains, let alone the ever increasing divvy/dist. income stream... total returns far outshine SP500 total returns even with divvies reinvested... it's just boring, but a boring I can embrace.
