I think one should be able to beat the SP500 by 5%-10% in cap gains, I doubt you can outperform by 5-10% annually using a simple strategy like DGI. It might work a couple of years, but it unlikely outperforms by that margin consistently. almost nothing does. A lot of strategies EBIT/EV, FCF/EV, Magic formula etc outperform for a couple of years and then underperform. Mr. Market is smarter than many give him credit for.
