American International Petroleum Retains Bankers Trust Company as Agent for its Class A Warrants

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 21, 1998--American International Petroleum Corp. (NASDAQ:AIPN), today announced that the Registration Statement covering the shares underlying its Class A Warrants (which are trading on the NASDAQ National Market System under the symbol "AIPNW") and certain other shares of its common stock, was made effective on Jan. 15, 1998.

The company said that it has retained Bankers Trust Company to serve as Information Agent and Warrant Depositary Agent for the company in connection with the Class A Warrants.
