Greatmood,
Thanks for posting the news. Got a fax from Millnennium on the same subject as well.

No doubt this will buy AIPC more credibility on the street. By the way is Bankers Trust and Alex Brown one company now?

Just noticed when I retrieved the news on Bankers Trust (BT) that the names are now combined into one, "BT Alex Brown."

Again, thanks for the effort! sycamore

Greatmood, Here is what S&P has to say on Bankers Trust and Alex Brown combination.

<"Following a sluggish first four months of 1997, the shares have since turned in a strong performance, and have now outperformed the money center bank index on a year to date basis, as investors reacted positively to the Alex. Brown (AB) purchase. Improvement in earnings quality has become apparent as BT shifts to more predictable business lines with longer-term profit potential, such as trust activities, while other more volatile business segments are having less of an impact. The takeover valuation given AB was a bit high, but BT appeared willing to pay a premium for AB's earnings consistency, a rarity with respect to investment bankers. Based on current valuation and earnings growth projections for 1998, the shares are expected to track market averages in the year ahead.">
