Every country subsidizes its strategic industries. You have to do this. If you do not, you leave your ass hanging out in the wind and begging for someone to come along and kick it. You are very naive if you trust men to be honest and forthright with other men. You can not bankrupt your food supply chain. If you do, then you leave yourself in danger of being starved out. . Throughout history, conquest was often accomplished by this very means. So don't start on that nonsense. You are obviously too young, inexperienced and not well enough educated to understand the basics.
