Tom,

If INTC can buy CHPS to expand their domination to the graphics area;
and if Boeing can merge (or more like buy out) with their one and only US competitor-- McDonnell Douglas; Then there are almost zero chance of the INTC & DEC deal not going through. You have IBM, SUN, HP, NSM, AMD, and international company like FUJITSU and others that make the processor chips. I personnaly think that some small potato at FTC just make some noise to make a quick buck on their stock trade, or to boost their ego.

As for TA, It is only 1/3 of the tools that help me trade. I do not completely believe in it. If a merger or buy out occured, no TA can predict the stock price, only the fundamental can. TA is useful for me so I do use it together with my research.

Have fun.
