"I say let the citizens of Jefferson decide whether to remain a part of California or become its own state." Having one's say is nice. I say let the citizens of California decide whether to allow it. "Nothing like the tyranny of the majority, as long as the majority is on YOUR side " The majority of Jefferson would be on your side, so I can see why you want it. It would mean 2 new R senators in DC, and maybe one less D congressperson from Calif, because of the change in population.
