"The entry-level 166MHz K6-166 is priced at
$84 in volume quantities, the 200MHz K6-200 is $160 and the high end 233MHz K6-233 is priced at
$255. Cyrix's
prices are $82 for the entry level (166MHz) 6x86 PR-200, and $129 for the higher performance
(188MHz) 6x86 PR-233. "

Can someone tell me why the M2's are discounted so heavily against the K6? Is it really that tough to sell the M2's or are we really producing a lot of them? I doubt it is the latter but hopeful. If they can get many of the PR233's then why aren't we seeing any 266's? Surely if most of the chips are rated at 233, then there has got to be some that is clockable to a pr266? Can someone help me here? The M2 is discounted at 50% of the K6! There has to be something either very wrong or something very right. Which is it?
