Thank you... I'm very proud of my old outfit... talk about the historic battles, many of the street names at Fort Campbell had the names of famous battles, missions, and operations, such as Corregidor and so on...

When I was deployed to the far east we flew in a C-130 troop carrier and landed en route for refueling at Midway Island which itself was the scene of a very famous WW II battle... we got off the plane and had breakfast in a big tent while the plane refueled, and then we flew on to Yokohama, Japan...

Great memories!!!

You know, it just occurred to me, "look out below" would have worked just as well for the jump, it's also a 4 count... but, I think it would have been voted down back then, and also, it just doesn't have that fighting warrior sound that we felt when we stepped out that door... LOL!!!

A standard jump was always at 1200 feet, that would give you enough time to pull the emergency chute just in case, a combat jump was at 600 feet with no time to pull an emergency chute...
