To the "thread,"

Today's conference call was well-organized and the preparation showed.

Management covered all the issues raised in the Press Release, and though I do not have anything of significance to add to my earlier post, I believe that it is equally important to note when they do a good job (as was the case this time) as well as when they have done a poor job (following the last quarter).

Buchanan placed minimum goals for TFS at revenue growth in excess of 30% per annum over the next few years, with earnings coming in at a higher level.

Again, congratulations to Three-Five on a good quarter and a better call.

>>5) Total 1998 revenue growth is expected to be similar to 1997's. It isn't clear to me whether management means to indicate that the raw dollar sales increase will be the same, or whether the percentage growth will be similar. I expect that this question may be cleared up on the conference call.<<
Correct me somebody, if I got this wrong. My understanding of what was said on the conf. call is that sales in $ would expand enormously but due to pricing competition, margin contraction to the 19% area will hold $ profit expansion to merely very satisfactory?!?
I am impressed with the overall performance of the company and Buchanan's "leadership" but I find it really difficult to follow his answers because they are punctuated with parenthetical qualifying phrases within parenthetical qualifying phrases to the extent that even if I am able to focus on the question, he loses sight of where he was going and the answer is lost somewhere down a pathway different from the one he explored. Yes, I am satisfied with that analogy because exploring his thoughts as he speaks is precisely what he is doing! I am certain that several callers experienced the same bewilderment because early on DB rudely jumped on the operator because she interpreted the questioner's confused silence as an indication that she should move to the next caller. Just in case my meaning is not clear, let me say that I feel DB's treatment of the operator was very unprofessional; which raises the question of whether the people who work with him on a much more intimate basis are subjected to the same kind of embarrassing public rebukes?
Excuse my vitriol but I considered the operators composed performance the highlight of the call!
