October 7, 1997: This week at Networld+Interop '97, Aware, Inc. will introduce the X200 DMT-based ADSL Access Router. Fifty times faster than ISDN-based routers, the X200 is the industry's first commercially available ADSL access router for customer premise equipment to incorporate DMT modulation. November 4, 97: Aware has demonstrated the first splitterless version of its DMT (discrete multitone) technology suitable for PC modem applications. Delivering downstream speeds of up to 1.5 Mbps over CSA loops without the need for POTS splitters at the customer premises, Aware's DSL Lite technology.
