Lucky you, Bob! It all sounds luscious!

Summer has been so late in arriving in Montreal. My garlic didn't do well over winter, thus I replanted in the spring and half of this new crop is sickly looking. I think I planted in too much compost (maybe pH is too high?) Cherry tomatoes planted nearby in the same compost/soil mix are so hearty and healthy that they look like they are on steroids lol!

I put that same compost/soil mixture into bushel baskets surrounding my dead plum tree and planted beans. They look like magic beanstalks climbing into the plum tree branches now lol! Cute:)

Compost tea (aka compost mixed with water and fermented/stagnated into a stinky brew) is a wonder that turned my normally slim chives into thick green things that my dad thought were green onions when I chopped them into a stir-fry dish:)

My astilbes were planted only last year, but they love that compost tea so much that they've turned into monsters that look like they should be divided by this fall else they'd over-crowd:)

The raspberry harvest is late and rather pitiful this year thanks to the weather.

That's about all from the gardening report as I've been very busy with visitors and such lately.

Oh, forgot to add how much I love these beauties (took the pictures off google as I don't know how to upload mine here), but you'll get the idea:

Raspberry truffle coneflowers

Rozanne geranium:

Indeed, summer is awesome, Bob!
