A left wing dilemma...how to afford to live a free, fulfilling, liberal minded life in a society where everything revolves around money. I would say you try to balance the two as best you can, but likely I have failed that myself.

What does reason have to do with making money? USA is a capitalist society where making huge amounts of money is every individual's right, as long as it is done honestly and legally.Would you like to place a cap on how much money a person should make? If so, why? You do realize that billionaire's like Michael Bloomberg donate over 30M a year to charities? And they do it not only because it represents a tax deduction, but out of the goodness of their heart. I am speaking for myself here too and I am far from being a billionaire. No doubt, many investors and traders have made a lot of money on Wall Street, but these people have taken risk also. Nothing is guaranteed when you become a trader/investor. Why should I have to pay for someone who does not want to pay back their college loans which they signed up for? There is such a thing as personal responsibility. I take it you are not horrified by that, but I am. I am going to vote for Trump to make sure these millennials do pay? And I know you are from Oregon, so I have a couple of things to say about the recent violent demonstrations: it was disgusting and repulsive. Those demonstrators are entitled to shit or nothing. They are just intolerant bigots. Next time it happens, I hope Trump sends the National Guard in. I think it's war and I am on the side of law and order. I don't support punks that don't want to pay back their debts. I have been forecasting on this thread the day Trump got elected that he would win reelection by a landslide if the Democrats did not handle this properly and educate the American public as to the pitfalls of Trump's agenda. And the Democrats have not disappointed in the least; they have responded in the worst way imaginable, insuring a Trump landslide victory, the greatest on record. Yes, I am a progressive and liberal who is so outraged by the Democratic Party that I am voting for Trump. And you can tell all your friends who participated in that demonstration in Portland that I said they can go fuck themselves and I wish them the worst.
