I wonder what the markup will be for the first year?

If you order online, I wonder if you can custom build it like I did for my X3 when it was a brand new car. Their tech in 2011 was a bit lame, but it was sort of cool to follow it through the building and delivery process after I custom ordered it... why pay for heated seats which are useless for me but I liked a lot of other premium features.

My first car bought with my new engineer salary was a 1979 Fiat X1/9 with the 1.5L 90HP mid-engine. It was the best handling car not named "Ferrari" you could buy. I eventually replaced it with the 1994 C4 when it got to be too much trouble to get the car smogged with all the "performance modifications" I made that led to my invitation to race it with the Shelby Club at Sears Point and Lagunna Secca as a "special guest" entry for "interesting cars." I loved the Sears Point event but chickened out on the second after seeing cars catch fire or worse at the first event and knowing I had no support trailer or group of friends to help get me and my only car home!...

A buddy with a C6-ZO6 does a lot of these events with his son. That car is so fast (and light) he scared the crap out of me in Los Altos Hills such that by the time it was my turn to drive, I was shaking too much to enjoy it! He plans to order one to replace his C6 6-months or so after the release to get early bugs out and probably find what features are best, etc.
