SuperBowl XXXII is juat four days away. Here is some items about the Dallas Cowboys who are supposedly to be in this year's SB. The following story, relayed by Miami Herald columnist Edwin Pope, has begun to make the NFL rounds: Late this season Barry Switzer became so desperate he flew out to pick the brain of San Francisco 49ers coach Steve Mariucci . He asked Mariucci the secret of his success and was told, "Smart players, Barry, smart players get the job done." "Naw," Switzer scoffed. "Smarts have nothing to do with it. It's thugs that win. Guys who'll jump right in the slop for you without even thinking about it". "No, Barry," Mariucci said. "let me show you what I meant. Steve Young! Come over here for a second. Young trotted over, and Mariucci said, "Steve, who is your father's brother's nephew?" "Me," Young instantly replied. Switzer's brow furrowed. Then he said "That's smart, all right, thanks guys," and he flew back (without his gun in the carryon luggage) to Dallas, where he immediately summoned Troy Aikman . "Troy," Switzer said, "who is your father's brother's nephew?" Aikman took a long look at his coach, for whom his regard might accurately be described as limited. "I'm studying film right now," he said. "Let me get back to you on that, Barry." Aikman thereupon dashed to the locker room and sought on Deion Sanders and posed the question: "Who is your father's brother's nephew?" "Me," Sanders said. Aikman rushed back to Switzer's office. "My father's brother's nephew is Deion Sanders," he shouted. Switzer eyed Aikman coldly. "No wonder we don't have any offense," he said. "You are on idiot.
