Thanks for the kind words but You do well too....

There are many ways to make $ in the market. I found some that work for me.

That is why I like SI... fun to share good ideas with friends we've made over the years.

Thanks for sharing your ideas!

Funny too that I've been lamenting lately that I waste too much time making the extra $1000 that could be spent enjoying life...

Then I remind myself I both enjoy it and I believe that makes it easier for me to ignore the noise that tries to get us to sell and miss out on this great opportunity.

Have a great day!

BTW, not sure what you mean by this:
I'm not like you - I find it hard to rebuy at higher levels - wish I wasn't, but I have not learned to do that well.
Do you mean that you'd have a hard time not buying LRCX at $143.50 in December 2018 after taking profits at $223 in March 2018 since my original shares were bought at $3.33?

One way to help is look at it as generating dividends, especially from stocks that don't pay dividends.

The other is scale in and out as it is usually impossible to get the exact tops and bottoms for each cycle so scaling in and out while profit taking then buying back helps.

I've been doing that with Google.... use tighter trading levels to buy and sell to generate dividends. I prefer that over selling covered calls as I don't want to lose my positions should they have great news...
