Steve Harris, We have to do something. I am for this... Red flag laws allow law enforcement, family members and other concerned parties to petition a judge to confiscate guns from individuals who may cause harm to themselves or others. It's a way of acting upon warning signs, "red flags," in order to prevent potential gun violence. Regards, LG

I think President Trump is talking about taking guns from someone who appears to be crazy or dangerous. Do that first, then get it established in court. That sounds good to me.

For an update, I just received this from the White House whitehouse.gov So now we must define rapid due process... Last but not least, we must ensure that those posing a great risk to public safety do not have access to firearms—and that, if they do, those firearms can be taken away through rapid due process. The President has called for “red flag laws,” also known as extreme risk protection orders, to keep weapons away from dangerous people.
