FWIW, MRV does not have enough shares authorized to do another 2 for 1 split. They have authorized 40 million shares according to their last 10-Q. I'm not sure they even have enough to do a 3 for 2 split. If they have more than 27mm outstanding now, then 27 x 1.5= 40.5 Doesn't a shareholder vote need to take place before they can increase the authorized amount? Also, with their recent purchase, they took $35mm that was going to earn them about 3.5% interest after taxes and now are looking at gross margins of 55%. Think they can keep more than 3.5% for the bottom line? Seems like a cakewalk to me...
